The portuguese Captain Christiano Ronaldo was missing attendance on FIFA awards 2018-19

The former Portuguese captain Christiano Ronaldo who went to Juventus on a transfer window for 100m was reportedly absent on field at the award event. Christiano Ronaldo was absent despite no geographical obstacles as the program was hosted in Italy where he was located at the time of the event. Fans accusing him that he knew the results already and was likely to have not attended the award show. Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his heavy behavior regarding himself as the best player in the world.

Virgil Van Dijk voted Lionel Messi as the best player on FIFA awards 2018-19

The Dutch professional footballer Virgil Van Dijk who plays as a center-back for English Premier League club Liverpool and captains the Netherlands national team. Considered to be one of the best defenders in the world and known for his strength, leadership and aerial ability was one of the nominees for the Best FIFA player award 2018-19. With Christiano Ronaldo following his back, Virgil Van Dijk was honored as the 2nd best player award after the king himself,  According to the reports sent by FIFA, the dutch footballer gave his first votes to the king, the second votes to Salah Mohammed and 3rd vote to Sadio Mane, the latter being his own team members! A momento respect  being offered to the the dutch captain from the barca hero!

Lionel Messi becomes the FIFA Best player of the year 2019

Lionel Messi having scored 54 goals in 58 games for Barcelona and Argentina during the 2018-19 season finally stood up as the best FIFA player smashing the competetion rivals Virgil Van Dijk and Cristina ronaldo by more than 15 votes. Barcelona's Lionel Messi won the best men's player at the Best Fifa Football Awards in Milan as Juventus' Cristiano Ronaldo and Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk passed up the top prize. It is the 6th time Messi has been cast a ballot the world's ideal, after successes in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015. The 32-year-old Argentine helped Barcelona win La Liga and arrived at the semi-finals of the Champions League.
